Interesting. I had always thought of the B&O's livery as being blue & white, not blue & gold. Especially on the passenger equipment as the primary colors were blue & cream/white, with gold trim. The dining car china was ccertainly blue & white.
But then, I've always been partial to (and paid more attention to) the Reading since my great-grandfather was a conductor on the Schuylkill Branch.
Never be ashamed to let your Inner Appalachian out. There's nothing shameful about being true to your roots. I've been up here in Wisconsin since 1977 and I'm still Jim and Blondell's oldest; heck, I was down to Chattanooga for an SF convention and it took me days to de-bubbafy my speaking.
