sweet Jesus in the garden won't you grant this boy a pardon

Finally saw THE APARTMENT on Monday, when I went to pick up the keys from the Housing Office and get my student ID. And I have to say, it's really kind of fantastic. The dining room and the living room are one, but they are furnished (!) I will need to go purchase some Sofa Parasites (tm Steven Moffatt) though. Then there is the unholy abomination ( Read more... )

Oooh. Maybe Hotch helped Peter with the profile that found Neal.

WANT THIS. VERY MUCH.

Although contrasting Peter and Hotch makes me a little sad, because Peter and El are like what Hotch and Haley might have been. But white-collar vs. BAU, and having a dog (and Neal) vs. having a small boy does make a difference.

But I full believe I can fannishly-love Hotch and Peter equally; they have a lot in common, though Peter's more easy going. Possibly because he's less repressed; Peter is often an emotional broadcast tower.

Glad to hear things are going well. And I hope the job thingy works out and that you and the Theoretical Roomie get along. Hurray for grad school! *hugs*

"Sofa parasites" took me a minute, then I giggled. (I was intending to go google it when I got done reading, figuring they were like those microbe stuffed animals.) I'm actually making some right now, because what else do you do with a 6" by 8" piece of cross-stitch? (First one is complete up until stuffing and closing, second one has all the bits cut out but not attached, because I couldn't start my sewing machine this morning.)

Good luck with the tornado of stuff, some of which has already happened!

I am impressed, because the only Sofa Parasite I've ever made was in 5th grade home ec. And it was kind of rough. Although I believe it's still living on one of the sofas at my mother's house. No-Longer-Theoretical-Roomie and I bought two purple ones yesterday, making our living room look somewhat more lived in.

(*Steve holding the pillow* "What is it? IT'S FAT LITTER! IT'S A SOFA PARASITE! It's not part of the whole sitting process!" :)

Well, I had a lot of teaching/help from my mom, and I still didn't get the corner seams quite right. (They are finished, though, and cushioning my mugs for the trip to school tomorrow.) I'm surprised you had home ec- our district hasn't had it for years, and we don't even have a woodshop anymore. (We were using it for drama storage anyway, but still.)

Glad to hear your roommate has become a reality!

I was kind of surprised at that scene, actually, because I usually put pillows in the small of my back whenever I sit on our sofa. I don't usually just move them out of the way, but I suppose some people must.
