CM 5x21: "Exit Wounds" - "I should really get a cat."

Because really, this episode would be worth it just for that opening JJ/Emily/Garcia scene. Everything else is gravy.

It certainly did have it's moments and not just the "Put 5 people in 4 rooms" problem it left us with. Probably Eddie B's little joke for the shippers!

But we had the wonderfulness of Garcia and Hotch in casual clothes delivering a "Hotchalanche"..so obviously it's not dependent on the suit...or the tie. And JJ teasing Emily about going out with Mick Rawson..so does that mean that CBS picked up the pilot for the CM spin-off? Let's hope not!

And we need more Rossi in formal wear! I'm just sayin...

I was disappointed with the 4 rooms hypothesis. Because that means, with dialogue evidence, that Hotch gets his own room. Morgan/Garcia, Reid/Rossi, Em/JJ, and Hotch. We did the math.

Why couldn't Hotch be rooming with Rossi? I don't remember any dialogue that said where the men ended up - just that Morgan/Garcia and JJ/Emily were rooming.

Rossi in Formal Wear: GUH. GUH.

YES. Oh my god, that was hot.

And of course they have Reid and Hotch interview the Abusive Parents. OF COURSE. "Sit down and SHUT UP."

Ohhhh, Hotch. I was actually praying that the father would shut up, because I honestly thought Hotch might take a swing at him.

You do make a good point. Maybe Reid has cultivated the odd habits for just these situations, so he does get a room to himself. I also like to imagine that Hotch would take one for the team, and not inflict grumpy pre-coffee Dave on anybody else. (And if some doesn't write me some lovely angst/missing scenes about Rossi and Hotch and Hotch's scars, I might have to do it myself.)

No thrown punches, but that was a pretty impressive shove that Hotch wielded. Knocked the guy back a fair few feet. And now that we've seen where it leads when he's alone in the dark? The tone that Thomas puts in Hotch's voice at times like this unnerves me to a great extent.

Can I encourage you in the writing of that. Because I am sneakily evil like that (also, yes - dealing with pre-coffee Dave is a specialised art form. This is true facts. Especially pre-coffee early morning the day after a date was interrupted Dave).

I will join in the encouragement, because the world needs moar Hotch/Rossi especially dealing with the post-Foyet trauma. Please, and please, again.

Rossi in formal wear is so for the win. Especially that tie...

In fact, Rossi spent the whole episode being win.

His awesomeness bookended the episode; from the *rumpled* formal wear at the beginning, to kneecapping the Lead Torchwielding Villager at the end. Oh Dave, you lovely grumpy badger with flexible personal ethics.

"I spend way too much time with you people." Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much.
