"Take your tie off for once in your life."- Jason Gideon

Why?
Because melliyna  and bessemerprocess are very persuasive people. Because, after the big release of finishing Tim-in-Peril, my WsIP are again kicking my ass, and I need a little inspiration. Fic-a-thons are very inspirational. Because I can't let other people  have all the fun, and damn it, my birthday's on ( Read more... )

Well you did say crossovers, right?

Criminal Minds/Dexter, Hotch, Dexter, confrontation, caught, "am I a good man who does bad things, or a bad man who does good."
Or more specific, what would Hotch do, if he found Dexter with Foyet on his table*eg*

this time inspired very loosely by mi questa por rock and roll this weekend:

-A team member of your choice is stuck standing up for a long period, or hurts themself during a foot-chase. "My feet are killing me." There is a platonic foot-rub, possibly?
- The night before/day they return home from a chase, Rossi gets a case of laryngitis. Much mocking ensues, but also tea and sympathy. relevant quote: "But then a wonderful thing happened: they wired his jaw shut. All those things I'd been wanting to get said..." -June Carter Cash about Johnny)
- COMFORT MUSIC!
a) While Hotch is in the hospital, post 5x01, the muzak is driving him crazy. Garcia/someone else sneaks him in a custom-packed MP3 player.
b)JJ is very sad after a case, and so Will *and* Henry sing Mommy a lullaby.
- Any team member: PTSD, the Flogging Molly song "Punch Drunk Grinning Soul (http://www.metrolyrics.com/punch-drunk-grinning-soul-lyrics-flogging-molly.html

-Reid; ace bandage; nerd-ly injury that he doesn't want to talk about; Morgan and Emily band together to suss it out.

- Two team members of your choice; playing word games while stuck waiting for rescue; concussion, hypothermia/heat stroke/other

“Think they’ve killed each other yet?” J.J. asks, her hands deep in her jacket pockets as she watches the search and rescue team finish digging out the snow. It’d taken them four hours to actually locate the two missing profilers, and is going on the fifth to get them out. That amount of time doesn’t bode well ( ... )

Reid and Prentiss get stranded somewhere, and have to figure out how to get back to the tam by themselves. Loads of snark ensue. Bonus points if there is tongue sticking outage or thwacking of one another.

Chuck likes the weight of the uniform, though it isn't for the reasons the kids tease him about, now they've gotten old enough to tease. It's about knowing what your duties are, what you hold in your hands when you walk in to that cockpit ( ... )

CHUCK!!!!

Now I really want to know who salutes him. I would go with Rossi, because of a) egdes=grumpy-badger status and b) the Marines stint. But it could also be Hotch.

"There are perhaps, things more horrible than coming home from a war. Because in his war, at least you can go home and stay there."
Oh, team.

And that line about the funeral breaks my heart; that's one of those plane scenes which is not a sanctuary. I would swear Emily was glaring at the plane itself. Hope she didn't glare at Chuck.

I am glad you liked it (and Chuck, whom I would encourage more exploration of, as a character). And yep, oh team (I think writing this from an outsider perspective makes one realise just how much trauma they carry).

That scene? That says a lot about what '100 did and how they have lost their safe place.
