Yeah, it's Malcolm. :D I miss the disaster twins.
And: Because you meet interesting people and overhear things in bars. Also, pub food. And I sort secretly believed that he at least did a brief stint with Section 31, so old spy contacts, that sort of thing. Meeting someone, leading his own interesting life.

Hee, this makes me deeply happy!!!! I dearly love the idea of Trip teaching Scotty. *S*

Minor minor nitpick: t'hy'la means "brother" as well as "soulmate" so I'm not sure T'Pol would use it with Trip.

Ah. Oh dear. I googled "Vulcan term of endearment", and that's what came up. And I saw it meant soulmate so I used it. Bad E. *slaps self on wrist* Must do moar research. I would try to wank it away by ref-ing "band of brothers" and service together. But, my bad. I will try to do better next time.

And I also deeply loffed the idea of Trip teaching Scotty. I actually came out of the movie last year annoyed that they mentioned Archer while Trip was still dead, so there was no canonical possibility of Encounter-At-Farpoint-McCoy-style Professor Tucker educating and annoying the undergraduates.

No big, that's why it was a minor nitpick. :) I too was pondering how it could be wanked as well, but I think that among guys using "brother" is all comradely and bromance-ey, but a guy and a woman it just seems sort of squicky, y'know?

But otherwise: Yeah, I'm STILL bitter about the end of Enterprise. I also kept thinking that with the Archer reference in the movie there should have been more ENT crew refs, so seeing T'Pol in your fic made me happy. :D
