victory is mine

So, after three weeks, the sinus infection seems to be retreating to its pre-floodwater boundaries. Evidentiary support: I could actually smell at least 50% of the massive amount of garlic I put in last night's Big Sauce. Just in time for the scheduled-three-months-ago doctor's appointment on Monday. Nice one, immune system. Also: I am so shameless ( Read more... )

Hee. Castle and Mentalist are the two top shows on the list of "Shows I Really Should Watch, But Have Not Gotten Into Yet." Especially Castle, with all the Fillion-y goodness.

(One of the prompts I'm giving you and melliyna the same prompt because it took over my brain this afternoon.)
NCIS: Gibbs, McGee, ER, waiting/worry, injuries that turn out not to be too serious
CM: Gideon vs. Rossi Back in The Day; Katie Cole in the middle; betting
CM: Garcia, explaining lol-cats to Hotch; involving Jack is a bonus

Anything from CM, NCIS or TWW (or what the hell, Castle as well). It may take a while to get done, but I will do it.

What would Sam say? "Let's move past the fact that you're late to the party, and embrace that you showed up at all."

(hope you don't mind that I repeated a prompt for you and galeni, because it took over my brain this afternoon) (because I am an angst bunny)

NCIS: Gibbs, McGee, ER, waiting/worry, injuries that turn out not to be too serious
CM: Hotch, Rossi, any other team members of your choice (other than Reid) channeling the "POTUS on painkillers" scene from S1 West Wing
TWW: Sam, Donna, CJ, campaign bus, late-nights, exhaustion-induced laughter
NCIS: Ziva, McGee, lunch run, cheese incident, diplomacy

McGee admits that from the outside people might look at how his boss treats him and back away slowly. And start talking about filing complaints. Or possibly criminal charges (it's the safe workplace lecture all over again), though he'll admit the head-slap is really hard to explain ( ... )

Mmmmmmm. Warm fuzzies abound. You have perfectly channeled what I am pretty sure Tim's inner monologue is like. Which I think would be funny to begin with, but especially semi-conscious after being whacked in the head ( ... )

Coming up with prompts is harder than I thought, but I will do it, damn it.

-Jack Hotchner and advent calendars
-Garcia, Emily, JJ watching classic movies (Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart or Katherine Hepburn earn you bonus points
-Rossi and Reid vs. the broken BAU copy machine
-Garcia and Hotch the Snark-Ninja

Looking forward to seeing you! (Not looking forward to finals. I ran out of things I can do to productively procrastinate, like mailing presents or packing my suitcase, and am now just plain procrastinating. I fail at willpower.)

I'm kind of scared to reply to this meme, seeing as none of my fic has made it into text since middle school. On the other hand, challenges might be the only way I ever break through that barrier, and I really need to. I was going over one of my stories from junior year the other day and I realized I'd forgotten a couple lines of dialogue. So, what the heck. Doctor Who, or maybe Star Trek except for Voyager.

Oh, and I read your last two fics, and liked them, but not knowing the characters I didn't have much to say. Sorry :) .

On finals: This is the nature of the beast. I was always very fond of laundry, or room-cleaning, as productive tactics. But the Internet DOES NOT HELP.

And: Well, that is the great thing about comment-fic; you can write as much or as little as you want. (Though since I'm Miss Verbosity, I tend toward the "much.")

I forget, have y'all seen Series 4 of Who yet? I'll hedge my bets...
-Doctor Who: Ten and Martha/Donna cleaning up after an especially messy adventure; laundry issues; Tardis closet space
-Enterprise: Trip and Malcolm being the Disaster Twins
-Crossover: The Doctor runs into the crew of the Enterprise (which one is your choice)
