Oooooh. I really enjoyed this. Laura's slightly unhinged horror is so vivid, and I love your device of the "other" voice - I'm so curious about that. Is it her? Is it ... not? I think I have as many questions as Laura probably does!

I really like this a lot, how you used her internal dialogue to show her loneliness, doubts, fears and most complete dismay at the situation. I like how she remains practical, anchoring in the moment and in the sensations she is experiencing to avoid facing the ultimate truth of her rebirth and the loss of Bill. This is a little master piece in psychology.
Simply wonderful.
