Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

"'Love each other or perish,' Morrie said. 'It's good, no? And it's so true. Without love, we are birds with broken wings.'"

it was probably the setting i read it in that made me like it so much. i read it in philosophy class so we studied it compared to the theories/philosophies of the "great philosophers," and this is why i thought it was so good. i can see how it would be seen as over the top though.

but i analyze almost everything i read now so i look more at "good writing" rather than "good story." i think mitch albom is a good writer, even if he's a little too sappy for my tastes.

i havne't read for one more day yet, but i have low expectations. five people you meet in heaven was pretty okay in my opinion, but honestly the only reason i still own it is because all his book covers match so they look nice on my shelf.

Albom is definitely talented. I guess there are some people who really enjoy that kind of in-your-face emotion. Even though it wasn't even 200 pages long, I quickly grew tired of every page being so melodramatic.

As for the book covers, I really love how they all look together :) Kristine owns all three books, so I'm thinking of just reading For One More Day when the kids are at school.
