Thanks for cross-posting this this in various comms. I went to read the LifeBeat's responses of the previous days subsequent to reading your post and the first couple of statements on 07/11 and 07/12 I found resentful and dismissive of the protests. At the same time, those statements are great because it unwittingly revealed their racist and homophobic condescension with their paternalistic and patronizing tones.
