I remember that! You came across as pretty level-headed about it at the time, at least from this distance.

People can do that to you. Sometimes all it takes is noticing that they hesitate just right in polite conversation, or that they've forgotten to take the tag off of a shirt. From that point on space is warped around them as you watch your world reflected in them, familiar and yet fantastic. It's intoxicating and enthralling and it's hard to remember what life is like outside of their influence. Until they're gone again.

Journals are good for that sort of thing. Writing honestly (even if it's oblique) from inside the feeling can be an inoculation against obscure emotion.

Good point... I mostly journal when I have a lot of feels or feels that I can't name. Journaling helps make them clearer. Less obscure.
