Is it appropriate to send a Christmas Card to someone if this person helped you a couple of months ago. Their help went far beyond their duty or obligations. I wouldn't be asking, if they didn't work in a Sheriff's Office in a far away state?

Today is a beautiful, calm sunny day. So its absolutely unreal what is going on in the city - mandatory evacuations for some areas, plans to close roads and bridges, MTA is planning a partial or full shut down of their services too.
