As I've said before BALLS was great, making propellant is fun and the stuff I tested worked well, which could not be said for my rocket recovery. For some reason the charges didn't shear the shear pins and so the rocket came down in a flat spin and the entire body tube cracked up on landing, as spacks go this isn't too bad a one as the altimeter / ( Read more... )

Indeed. I didn't think you were trying to blow something up.

I actually never thought about what one would actually need to propel a rocket. Though, I suppose you don't exactly fill up at the petrol station. :)

I was incredibly disappointed to miss K-Lob - that's it for the year, now, isn't it? Unfortunately, TMA demands are such that I probably won't have it finished in time despite missing out. Meh!

you need to make November EARS, it's only a 1 day event but since it's very close to November the 5th it's the one where we all bring along money (best) or fireworks for a big display.

It's definately one not to miss.

Wish I could have been there at BALLS to see you guys, but the liquids testing takes priority now :(. Glad you had a good time... and 30 quid is small enough to be the damage after a *successful* flight. :)
