No, I'm totally with you on the gen focus in Bleach. You know what, a couple of weeks ago, I had the weirdest dream in which IchiRuki became canon (I saw the scene and my first thought was "wow, I need to go online and read the spectacular shipping wars") (<-- strikethrough'ed for randomness)
... anyway. I can't even imagine how a canon relationship in Bleach would play out. These people are all way too busy fighting, anyway. ;-)
And I'm glad you like Naruto so far! Reading this entry reminds me that I failed to comment on your first Naruto thoughts... even though I wanted to, because you are so right about Sakura! *fail*
(The French are also lucky bastards for getting a watchable Naruto version.)

Well, I liked it since I started watching it several years ago, but I never managed to watch the complete series in the right order until now.:-\ But yes, I really like it, one more proof that shônen is the right kind of crack for me!<3 Though I'm a bit afraid of some spoilers about future plot developments I heard...;>_

I want some lines on kakashi! How can you forget the most remarkable teacher in whole konoha :D It's a pitty Kurenai has actually no real 'character' that's worth speaking of. Ok, some opf the later filler episodes concentrate on her... but that's really all.
As for Bleach-pairings. Yepyep, you're right... I'm mean this is a shonen-series! Sure there might be some hints, but romance, love and couples are not exactly the main themes of Bleach.. I'm just catching up with the Anime episodes. And god damn... is Grimmjow HOT!!! ! *___* I mean he's a chauvinistic asshole (so far) but... argh... open shirt! *nosebleed*
BTW did you know that Naruto's Mangaka once said, that Sasuke and Naruto would rather end up together, than in a pairing with Sakura? Poor Girl~ aber ich bin ja eh der Meinung, dass Naruto eigentlich ein verkappter BL-Manga ist. Dafür gibts einfach zu viele Anspielungen...
Rrright, I forgot to say anything about the teachers.^^; Well, Kakashi is full of fun on his own, but I love him best in combination with Maito Gai!XD Gai/Kakashi has been my first OTP in Naruto for years now and I still laugh to tears whenever I see them together!^__^ They're so full of crack, but I can totally see them being serious as well.<3
