Having been reading the Sailor Moon manga recently (but not having watched the Super arc of the anime yet), this sounds about right ... but I'm not sure how much of it isn't from Sailor Moon.
Definitely works to set a linchpin away from Mahora, in any case. ^^ Looking good to me!
(... who are Sakana and Professor Lovecraft, BTW?)
This will replace Mahora. Some major Mahora elements - most notably the World Tree and the Magic Association HQ under St. Ursula's - will remain around a little ways off campus.
You use two different terms--is this going to be Infinity Institute or Infinity Academy, or is the latter meant to be a subsection of the former? Also, will Juuban be changing to the name of some other more-average high school, or are you just going to have two schools from Sailormoon?
We were considering using a different Place What You Do Learning word for each of the three schools, in which case Infinity would be the Infinity Institute and Ohtori would remain Academy because it just seems more like one, I guess? Honestly it's just aesthetics. I think I'm leaning toward sticking with Institute, though.
We aren't afraid to use two different Sailor Moon schools - of all things it certainly deserves the honor! But the alternative was swapping Juuban to Tomoeda, from CCS. Thoughts are welcome, incidentally.
In Japanese, the names for those schools are Mugen Gakuen and Ootori Gakuen, respectively, so they are indeed both academies. However, I agree w/rt aesthetics; it might be tweaking it a bit, but I also like the idea of the three schools having completely distinct names, and if any of them is going to be an institute, Infinity makes the most sense.
Sailormoon definitely does deserve the distinction, so if you kept Juuban, I think that'd be okay, esp. since it's the school Usagi attends. However, since Sailormoon's SO well-known and there are so many shows that're going to be represented on BF, I think there's a risk in putting too much thematic focus on it; it's a little like saying "we care more about this show than the others," even if that's not true. My own suggestion would be whatever school the mains attended in Futari wa Pretty Cure, assuming it's appropriate (never saw the first Precure, myself).
We'd thought about using the school from PC Classic, in fact! It turns out it's private, which given the point of the Juuban thing is to be sort of Your Neighborhood School that doesn't work.
None of the Precure schools do, actually, I think all of them are private except maybe Love's in Fresh?

ALSO TOTALLY GIVE US A DATE, I TOTALLY BELIEVE IN YOUR ABILITY TO MAYBE GET IT AROUND THAT BALLPARK.
still this seems like the school that Sakana would go to if it's where Professor Lovecraft goes.
