This is semi related to time, but more like Timeline, but I can't think of a better time to ask at the moment.
To use Negima as an example, the events of the plot have thus far taken place over the course of a year in universe. How are we dealing with theme timeline versus game time?
And on that note, over the course of that in universe year, the only character who has aged at all was Negi Springfield, due to Evangeline's resort.
I'm trying to figure out where I'm going with this, I really am.
But I think it's important to note time is a very wibbley wobbley... Timey wimey.... Thing.

Plots that are completely finished in one year in the original source will take more than one year. There's no need to rush things, and very few shows have strict deadlines on when things must finish.
