Are there any known details on the Desert King, or is this basically 'he almost blew up the world, here is a generic black silhouette with a question mark over it'?
But I mean more ICly - guys who are clued in will probably know that 50 years back the world was almost destroyed entirely, but how much are they likely to know about what caused it beyond 'it happened'?
Lord Dune broadcast to the whole of Tokyo. It was not a catastrophic planet-wide event, although several cities were lost when Desert Devils landed. Recognition Inhibition ensures the general public doesn't even remember it happened.
But there are fairly accurate descriptions of his appearance and level of power, albeit most of those become somewhat unhelpful because most attempts to describe him in combat use words like 'overwhelming' and 'godlike' and 'holy shit he just punched that guy from Tokyo to Paris.'
