Just so I make sure that I haven't missed anything important... They need to find and destroy the horcruxes AND brew the invincibility potion? Is Severus just trying to recreate the invincibility potion OR brew an antidote? Have you specified the number of horcruxes in this story? In chapter 001, when we find out what good ole Sluggy told Tom, was he saying the horcruxes were ONLY an option IF you could also brew the invincibility potion? Or was he saying something totally different and I missed it? Only answer the questions that you can and that don't require giving away untold plot points. Obviously.
Well how were you to know? Lol Hey, even I had to go back and reread to make sure I wasn't giving stuff away from later chapters. Anyway, belts and braces, the answers are now posted in chapter 13.
Even on my 3rd read of this wonderful fic, I'm blown away by the melding of "Chess Master" and "Gryffindor Paragon" aspects of Dumbledore. At once, he mixes cunning, ruthless plotting, a dash of impulsiveness, and a core goal of advancing the greater good. That he willingly sacrifices a great many "smaller pieces," like personal feelings or "bit players," is a given. Thankfully, he didn't deem a marriage of Hermione to Harry a necessity, especially in light of the reasoning behind the marriages that happen later.
