Kate debates not going to her door at the sound of the pounding, but she's tired of all the friggin' ruckus and if she can get it to stop, maybe she could get this damn headache to go away.
She stands with her gun in her hand and throws the door open, glaring.
Malek looks over her. She's obviously not the person he wants, unless Elashte morphed into a blonde woman--and he really wouldn't approve of that. Step downward, in Malek's book.
"Sorry," he says, glancing behind her to make sure Elashte hasn't just picked up a mistress. "Looking for the boss. Obviously he's not in this room." He reshoulders his bag, giving her a quick grin as he starts to head away. "I'm new. Just got some things to deliver--damn big place, this."
Oh, no, he's not going to walk away and start pounding on doors, again.
Not if Kate can help it.
Despite her better judgement, she steps out of her apartment, slides the gun into its holster as she does so.
"Hey, look, you're not going to find him by pounding on all of these doors. I haven't seen him at all today so for all we know, he's not even here. You're wasting your time and givine me a migraine. Did you ever think that if he needs you, he'll find you?"
He looks surprised, at that, and hefts the shoulderbag. "He brought me all the way form Guam with this," he says, without rancor. "Thought I'd look him up as soon as I got in. Sorry about your headache; just thought some things were important." He rests the pack on his shoulder again sticks one hand in his pocket, and extends the other. "Malek Asenath, by the by. Behemoth."
