If you've got to belong to something, belong to us... [Shepard, Dresden]

Elashte's decided that, while he's going to keep his apartment in Chicago proper, maintaining a presence at the Main Gauche is going to help immeasurably. So he's been adding his own personal touch to an apartment on the upper floor, and it's only a quick stroll down to the courtyard ( Read more... )

Shepard is awake, for the most part, though she can't say for sure if Dresden is as well. She goes through her usual morning ritual-shower, coffee, breakfast, quick spar with a punching bag she's hung in her room-then heads out on to her balcony for some fresh air.

There, she spots Elashte and gives him a half-awake salute (which is essentially two fingers touched to her forehead before gently bringing them forward again) before heading down to the courtyard.

"Our new friend is probably still asleep," she states as she approaches. "Long night. Want me to go wake him up?"

Inside his new (and hopefully temporary) apartment, there is very little indication that morning has arrived. Regardless, Harry awakens feeling mostly refreshed, and he silently thanks Lash for helping him out in that regard. The bruises are fading, the blood has been cleaned up, and he looks mostly respectable again, although his hair is somewhat lacking.

He is delighted to take advantage of an actual hot shower for once, and afterwards he regrets having to put his clothes back on from the day before. "If I'm stuck here, I'd better find some more outfits," he mutters to himself. "'Cuz this isn't gonna work."

"I think our friend has woken himself," Elashte says with a smile, as Dresden heads out the door into the courtyard. It's a face he doesn't recognise, at least, and a quick listen at the thoughts escaping his mind confirm it. He takes him in--groomed, cleaned up except for his clothing, and makes a mental note to have a selection of day clothes brought in. Most Riftcomers, as he understands it, come through with very little. He tilts his head, asking "Would you care to introduce us?" of Shepard.

It can be read as an order. It sounds like a pleasant request.

Shepard grins, waving Dresden over to them. "Dresden," she says when he arrives, "this is Elashte. He's the propieter of the Main Gauche. Elashte: Harry Dresden."
