And then you shall run...

Juni is outside, pacing through the park with a determined look on her face.

Aubrey's come down to the lobby, finally, after spending the day about the city. Xe's been spending less and less time in the Conrad.

Xe flops down in a chair near Liz, sighing and staring at the ceiling for a bit before registering that there's another person in the room. Xe glances over.

"Bad day?"

Liz looks up from her book and smiles slightly "better then yesterday really."

Because she's not entirely sure how to put sulking about the impossible existence of magic and her own stupidity into words...

Well she could, they just wouldn't be very nice words.

Oddly enough, the impossible existence of magic is one of the things Aubrey's been sulking about as well, at least for the past day.

"This place does that to a lot of people. Give them bad days, I mean," Aubrey says, then leans over the arm of the chair and offers a hand. "I'm Aubrey." This compulsion to Do Things Proper tends to make xem seem a bit more social than xe actually is, and xe's beginning to be annoyed with it. After all, there are a lot more people to Be Proper at here than anywhere else xe's ever lived.

Liz's smile grows and the book lowers.

"I'm Liz" she nods, shaking his hand back confidently "and yes, I'd say this universe has some kind of a grudge."

If universes could have grudges of course, which is rather impossible but that'd be complicated to go over again.
