I was looking for a place to hide away...

Don't mind the tiny golden dragon sitting in the lobby of the basement. Really, don't. She's hoping to stay hidden, which explains why she's perched in a ficus in view of the elevator, mostly obscured by the leaves ( Read more... )

Glimmers of gold are shiny.

JD notices the shiny. Always. He's exploring the basement, which he's done everyday since he arrived (and everyday he manages to find something new)!

The sight of the glimmery gold dragon thingy completely takes his attention away from the nifty ink pen he found on the receptionist's desk.

"Are you real?"

Annie jumps, with a very undignified squeak, when she realizes JD notices her. She nearly falls off the branch she's perching on, and has to spread her wings to regain her balance.

And then she shoots JD a slightly irritated look. Of course I'm real. Are you really this stupid?

Apparently, yes, yes he is.

"Awww, you're so cute and so little!" JD squees and flails a bit at the nearly falling off a branch, he reaches out toward a wing like a moth drawn to flame. "No one told me we had little... golden lizards with wings. I want one!"

Annie's actually pretty used to being cooed over. Yes, she's adorable, in human form or dragon (provided she's a small dragon rather than the big, hulking, "eat you in one bite" type).

She sighs a little and settles her wings on her back. Ordinarily, she'd preen over the attention, but right now she's too worried about Becky's absence, and still trying to decide whether she should jump in the elevator the next time someone goes out and follow her, or whether it's better for her to stay.

On the one hand, Calisto has her. Her angel. On the other... Annie does not see being able to take on Calisto. At all. And she doesn't know who to even begin to go to for help.
