There are times when Becky is an idiot.  Mostly when it involves people.

Things happen quickly.  And even though she knows she shouldn't do this, she has to.  On the slim chance she'll let him go, or that Becky can give him a chance to escape.

Becky's right in a way. Calisto does not lie. She does a lot of evil, bad things, but she doesn't lie, because she finds it incredibly unnecessary.

Of course, it means that she, also, does not have to keep to her word or can stop herself from getting bored while waiting around and do whatever she'd like anyway.

"Not here. Obviously."

No, Becky probably won't get a straight answer out of her, but Calisto does lurch forward from the wall to reach out for Becky's wrist.

"I will turn what ever defiance you still manage to cling to, to dust before we're through. You realize that, don't you? That coming to me means death, one way or another. Death of who you were. Or just plain, heart stopping, lungs not breathing... death."

Becky shudders a little, shies back from her... but she doesn't try to escape.

"I know," she says softly. "I don't have a choice."

She couldn't leave Luke to die at her hands. Be scarred at her hands. She had to come, even if it would kill her, even if, in the end, it would do no good.
