[Open to threadhopping, but no Roderick tags, please!]

The Kashtta is deteriorating. The signs are everywhere, and have been-in the way the walls seem to be cracking more each day, the paint fading and flaking; in the floors that creak and moan; in the air itself, so dank and foul, just hanging in every open space ( Read more... )

He's willing to admit that the Tower unnerves him. There's just smething abut the building that sets him on edge in general and it's only been getting worse this past month or so ( ... )

"She thought my art was good." He shrugs, it seems like a perfectly reasonable compliment to him. "Yeah, I'm planning on it. I just need to get a few nights of real sleep first." He's hesitant to admit it but he's also aware that he let the other thing slip, so call this an offering.

"Who knows." He looks down at his coffee, deeming his cup far too empty and fills it up the rest of the way. Taking a drink, he nods towards the door before gathering his brush from off the counter. "C'mon, lets go. We can at least have this conversation while walking."

He's not moving because a part of him was seriously considering sleeping while standing up. Of course not

He only nods, clapping Neal lightly on the shoulder. "Let me know if you need to get anywhere when you start," he offers. It's not an offer he really needs to make but, well, he's trying to show support.

"Yeah, give me a second." He turns towards the counter, takes a long drink of coffee and fills the cup back up. More coffee seems like a good idea if they're going to be leaving the kitchen.

"You don't usually paint down here," he comments as he starts towards the door.

"Yeah, of course." He smiles a little. "You're going to be bored out of yoru mind if you hang out with me though." It might be a warning, it might not, he's not actually sure yet. He's considering doing thing the legal way but how legal remains to be seen.

If he wants to make any money, there may be a few shortcuts taken. No9t that he's not good enough to make it the old fashioned way, he knows full well that he is, but getting out of the Tower is becoming more and more of a priority in his life and he's not sure he really wants to wait.

"You know, when we figure out where we'll be for the night," he starts, an amused expression on his face. "I say we take it with us." he's not attached to the coffee or the coffeemaker itself but god, does he need the caffeine.

A shrugs. "I got bored. Besides, I knew most people wouldn't be down here at this hour, so I figured why not?"
