Black holes and revelations

Lily grumbles to herself after she drops one of her bags and all the contents inside it spill out. She crouches down to pick up her items. At the corner of her eye, she can see the familiar messy black hair of James Potter. Even from how far away she was, she can see the shine of his Head Boy badge. She starts shoving in her things inside her bag as fast as she can to avoid him. Just in time, she is able to stand back up and speed walk away. After turning a corner, she looks back over her shoulder to where she once was. James is standing there looking for Lily anxiously. She can't help but feel relieved.

She tucks a lock of red hair behind her ear and continues on her journey to Platform 9 3/4. As she walks towards the barrier, a few Muggles give her a weird look. It was probably because of her owl in its cage. Lily always hated that look. Petunia never gave her any other look except for hatred.

When Lily arrives at the barrier, she waits until there are less Muggles around. Once the coast was clear, she runs straight for it. With a rush of air, the redhead appears in an different area than she expected. Instead of the familiar steam engines of the Hogwarts Express, she is in an alleyway. She grips her trolley and pushes it down to the end of the alleyway. A wave of disappointment washes over her when she is towered over by skyscrapers. Looks like she won't be Head Girl after all. From her pocket, she pulls out her wand, ready to protect herself.
