Aniki is curled up in an armchair in The Coffee Shop, reading a book. Terrier, to be exact, though she seems to be reading the same section over and over again, running her fingers over the pages with a lonely look on her face.

But he's tracked Murphy down, intentionally or not, and he slides into the seat next to Murphy. Only after he sits down does he pause to ask, "Mind a little company?"

She welcomes it, in fact. Normally at this time of year she'd be swamped by family gathers, phone calls and nieces and nephews and Easter-egg hunts. But half the people in the theater don't celebrate Easter--and those are the ones that even know what it is. The thought puts quiet pressure on her heart again. Murphy scratches her forehead and gives a quick sigh before downing the rest of her drink and signaling the bartender.

There's a faint worried frown on his face despite his attempts to look nothing more than friendly and interested. It's not hard to tell she's not feeling great right now, between her expression, the slope of her shoulders... Plus, the way she's drinking might have a little something to do with it. Maybe.
