Rusty notices the girl with the bags. It is not in his nature to help strangers on the street. It's more in his nature to try to avoid having to interact with anyone. People rarely tend to notice him so it's not difficult.

If he walks by quickly, she won't see him, right? It's not like most people will ask random strangers to help them anyway. And he can always say no. Rusty is completely capable of saying no.

He has to get back to his apartment anyway. Even if he wanted to help, he'd need to get back. He needs another hit. Badly. He shoves his shaky hands into his pockets and keeps his head down.

Oh, oh, oh, oh. Molly's pretty sure she knows who that is. What, it's not like she keeps tabs on Kaden even when she's out of town. All of Molly's grumpy vanishes as she skitters over to Rusty, giving him an awkward grin and flopping her head to the side.

He's obviously trying to just scoot on by, but oh, Molly can't miss up this chance. Not at all.

"So, oh my gawd, like hi!" she says, giggling absently, her ponytails bouncing around. "You're not like, totally busy or anything are you? 'Cause like, um, I'm totally in a bind and stuff and like. Um. Yeah. I like need someone from your area of expertise and everything. Oh gawd, I totally feel like, so weird coming up to you about this and stuff, but like, I totally need some help."

Enjoy a vapid pouty look, Rusty. And a soft whine.

Usually, he's good at looking like someone random strangers wouldn't want to approach, even if they were willing to ask for help.

Fuck.

Rusty stares at her. For a long time. There's nothing but silence on his end, while she goes on giggling and talking. She does a lot of talking with a lot of words, especially like. He is confused. His head hurts.

Molly runs her fingers through her hair, as if this is just all so awkward anyway and it's not like she should be bothering him anyway, but what other choice could she have?

She tilts her head back at her books, looking positively so guilty. "I like, you know, need to get back to my sorority house and all, but I totally can't do that without a bit of help. I mean, seriously."

Pouting some more and awkwardly pressing a hand against her hip, she sighs, looking at him pathetically. "You wouldn't like, put me out like that or anything, would you? That would be so uncool."
