One thing about Harvey Dent is he likes to wander. Especially around Chicago. He likes to look around, to see the similarities and differences between this city and his own. He'd never been out of Gotham much, before, so he intends to see as much of Chicago as he can ( Read more... )

If it's company he wants, it's company he'll find.

It seems many find themselves back at Grant Park. As if the place will have what they're looking for and in some way, they are all waiting for something. She doesn't like waiting. She's a go-getter, a doer. It is, however, hard to accomplish when there's so little she knows.

Rachel hasn't seen Harvey since that day at the Luna bar, but it doesn't mean he's been far from her thoughts. And at the sight of him with that coin, looking lost and confused she can't not go to him.

His name is a question as she approaches. A soft but firm greeting. "Harvey?"

He glances up and gives her a tentative smile.

"Hi, Rachel." He's glad he knows she's not a hallucination, that he still does have that thread of sanity, even though this place is ridiculously crazy most of the time.

"I, uh --" He hesitates and looks down at the coin, for reassurance, and then it's back to Rachel. "I talked to Bruce."

At the smile Rachel returns one of her own, and lets herself sit down beside him.

At his words, she stiffens.

"You know then." It's not a question. Bruce said Harvey deserved to hear the truth from him and Rachel knew Bruce wouldn't go back on his word.

"Yeah," he replies. "Yeah, I know." From the look on his face, he's still not certain what he thinks of it.

"I don't know what to do," he says quietly, turning the coin over again. "I mean." Okay, let's try this again. "I want to blame him. I want to..." He sighs and trails off, frowning.

"I just -- don't know."

Adam enjoys long walks around the park sometimes. They clear his head and he can keep an eye out for trouble. Usually he prefers the comfort of foxfur when he's out on the prowl, because it's less likely he'll be recognized, but after that snit with the bloody bird...

And wow, that man's face is all kinds of fucked up.

Adam hasn't really had an opportunity to play the healer. He rather misses the sense of power and respect that comes from being that godlike. He steps a bit closer to the man and gives him a polite nod.

"The accident must have been terrible." Yes, Adam will be getting right to the point here.

Harvey looks up from his hands, flips the coin and catches it, then turns his attention to Adam.

"Not much of an accident, but yeah," he replies, quirking an eyebrow at Adam. "I don't think we've met?"

"That does seem to happen," he remarks, taking a seat next to him on the fountain.

"My name's Adam Monroe. I'm sorry if that was forward of me."

It does tend to attract notice, however. Adam's wondering how he's managed to ward off infection. Really, this whole situation is just begging for his particular talents.

"It does. Especially in Gotham." He shrugs and rolls his shoulders a little.

"I'm Harvey Dent," he adds, offering his hand. "I'm kind of used to people noticing it by now, but this is the first time anyone here has commented on it. Other than Bruce, I mean."
