Man, I feel like a woman!

[OOC: This is for Martha's planned girls' night, which was locked to individuals in her journal, but these women were asked to invite other female friends so they would be here, too. I thought it might be good if the women actually interacted to see how well they got on and to form relationships. Maybe a couple are secret soul-sisters or something ( Read more... )

Rose is supposed to be on Martha's little girl's night. Donna had sent her a little message about it, and, well, Rose hasn't been out socially a lot recently, and she hasn't really gotten to know any of the girls. Some girls at the shop she worked at, but...

Well.

She's running late, though, and bustles in about half an hour after everyone else, slightly flushed and wind-blown, and a little out of breath. "Sorry, couldn't get out in time, you haven't had too much fun without me, I hope?"

Those with sharp eyes may notice a certain kind of diamond on a certain finger, as she tucks some hair that's escaped her braid behind her ear.

Juliet smirks over her coffee. "Gwen may have just inadvertently doomed the entire Sears Tower and Sam is probably going to fire me without knowing exactly why as soon as I get back home, but other than that..."

She pats an empty seat and arches an eyebrow at the ring. "That's new," she notes wryly, nodding at it. Granted, the last time she spoke to Rose, she was treating that scar on her face, but there certainly wasn't a ring that time...

Rose blushes and can't not grin brightly, even as she ducks her head and slips into an empty seat. "O-oh, it's not all that new..." she protests.

Yes, heaven forbid she lets everyone know that she's happily engaged. After all, they're celebrating Martha's engagement, right?

Martha is in fiance mode so she automatically assumes when she sees a ring like that. The grin and the blush on Rose's face seal the deal.

"Oh my God, did he ask you? Really?" She grins and gets up on her feet, rushing over to her to get a better look at the ring and to be at an appropriate distance if she says yes so that hugs can commence.
