Martha wanders into the house. She had hotel business that she wanted to take care of (really her employees could run it all on their own), but she hasn't been home yet to see the Doctor in ferret form. Martha assumed it was high time to fix that.

She stops and watches for a moment before turning to look at the one throwing the ball. "Hello Melissa," Martha says, and then she kneels down on the carpet and raises an eyebrow at him. "Doctor. Glad to see you're keeping yourself entertained."

A smirk slips across her face. No, she doesn't find this amusing at all.

The Doctor drops the ball immediately to bound toward Martha. He stops in front of her, widening his eyes and endeavouring to look pathetic and lovable. Come on, Martha. You can't possibly think this is funny, can you? That would just be cruel.

"Awww, you're so cute and tiny! It's really rather adorable." She picks him up in her arms and tilts her head to the left making you're so cute faces at him, because she's teasing him and not because she would actually do that to a ferret she found on the street. "Hilarious, too, naturally. We can't forget that."

The Doctor squeaks a little in protest, and tries to glare, but then stops - he has a feeling she's just going to decide that's even more adorable. So instead, he sprawls in her arms, draping himself over her and widening his eyes again. If she's going to mock him... she can at least pet him while she's doing it.
