He bounds up the stairs in a couple steps and drops to his knees beside her, resting a hand on her head. "Ruvin? Would you like to go inside?"

"It's alright," he croons softly, scritching her behind the ears and trying to remain in a position where she's not crushing the air from him. "I'm here, and whatever's wrong, I'll fix it." He'll fix it if he has to go to the mayor's office himself and burn it down.

The nasty little voice with which she's become so well acquainted pipes up again. Stay like this and you won't have to deal with questions. Not right now. Stay like this and you won't have to deal with it at all.
It's thinking like that that almost got her stuck last time. Ruvin shakes herself and turns to the door, pawing at it again.

Which... she sorta did. Not the whole way, she had to stop a couple times, but pretty much the whole way.
She wasn't going to wait for a car.
She opens the door and steps into blessed air conditioning, gasping to catch her breath. And when she finally does, she stops and looks around.
"Woah," she whispers to herself. "Big building." Right. She has to find her girlfriend and make sure she's okay. "Ruvin?" she calls hesitantly, not too loudly. Maybe she should've asked where in the building Ruvin was...

That and she finds herself suddenly shy.
"Over here," she says, still muffled behind her sleeve. She's sitting on the steps, still wearing the oversized sweatshirt the Doctor found, in a position that somehow feels characteristic at this point--a little ball of Ruvin, chin on her knees.

She runs up and sits a step below Ruvin, so she can look at her, and immediately frowns, worried. "You were bleeding? What happened?" Okay, maybe not all questions later. Some questions now.

That should bother her more than it does, shouldn't it? That's why she came here in the first place. She hugs her legs, feeling more scared for no reason than she ever has, feeling like there should be something there to tell her that, no matter what, it will be all right.
"Dusty?" It comes out small and uncertain, and she feels like she did when Robin hugged her by the fire--like she's lost something, without knowing what.
