Sam is taking the lunch shift over at the Luna Bar. It's been pretty slow-going as far as afternoons go, but there's the occasional patron who comes in to order something small to eat off the menu and a beer or two, so there's never a dull moment for very long. Right now, he's behind the bar, polishing a few stray wineglasses with a rag that ( Read more... )

Since Dean had the afternoon off, he spent most of it sleeping and working on the car - it's been a while since he gave the Impala a good onceover. Now, he's heading over to the Luna Bar to grab a bite to eat before work. And, okay, visit Sam.

There's hardly anyone inside when Dean shows up, which for now is fine by him. He nods hello to Avery and steps up to the bar.

"You know what this place is missing?" he asks Sam, impromptu of nothing. "Pie. I mean, I get that we're in a different universe, but pie should be a requirement of any establishment."

Dean gets a responding nod in greeting from Avery, who appears to be pretty occupied as the phone rings for what's probably the tenth time in the last hour.

Sam glances up with a look of surprise that quickly turns into happiness at the sight of his brother, already getting out a glass in anticipation of what he might like to drink.

"You could've gotten pie at the diner," he points out, once Dean's standing across from him.

"Waitresses aren't as hot there," Dean replies, grinning as he takes a seat at the bar. "Besides," he adds folding his arms on the counter. "I like making you work for me."

He glances around the bar again, then back at Sam. "This place looks fuckin' empty, man. You think I'm in for a slow night?"

Sam opens his mouth to say something about how there aren't exactly waitresses here, but then shoots a glare in Dean's direction as he mentions making Sam something akin to a servant.

You know, you could always come back here and get it yourself, his look says, but instead, he shrugs.

"Doubt it. Things tend to pick up later, anyway."

Nagi is slowly coming to the conclusion that the security team in this place is bored, and they get their entertainment from seeing who deals with people lurking at the gates. Really, it's the only thing that makes sense. Maybe he should start taking walks in the basement so he doesn't see sad-little-puppy-like people lurking outside.

Nagi walks up to the gate with an impersonal glare of loathing for Sylar. "What do you want?"

Sylar barely flinches at the accusatory reaction he's getting. Instead, he walks right up to the other side of the gate, tilting his head slightly.

"I was wondering if I might be let in."

Nagi looks at Sylar like he's absolutely nuts. "Why would you want in here? Are you a homocidal maniac or something?" Because if he is....

Well, actually, he'd probably fit right in, provided he can behave himself.

"Homicidal and maniac are two very relative terms, aren't they?" Sylar asks.

Don't worry. People look at him like he's nuts all the time. He can deal with it.
