Yes, you read that right. This would make a great deal of sense if he were a ferret and some sense if he were a tiger, but, at the present moment, he is a person. In a tree.
No, he really doesn't want to talk about it, but he suspects he's going to have to. Apparently, he was taking a walk through the park, contemplating whimsy and why he fails at it, and... How the hell can someone actually fail at whimsy? Really? Something about tree-climbing being a fun and whimsical hobby crossed his mind and he spent a good twenty minutes just staring at a tree in the park before deciding, after confirming that no one was around, that it can't be that hard to climb a tree, especially with his physical prowess.
And now that he's in said tree, he can't really see the appeal. It's filthy. And kind of painful and yet he managed to get to a pretty high branch just to prove that he could. At the present moment, he's working on figuring out how to get back down again, and hoping that no one, actually, you know, walks by and takes notice. And if anyone does take notice, he is going to blame Dmitri. She gave him ideas.
In the Kashtta Tower, Jack Bristow is in the kitchen with his journal and a cup of coffee, looking generally full of hatred for the universe... Moreso than usual. The news over the journals for the past two months does not make him a happy bunny and the sooner this CLF business is taken care of, the happier he will be. He would also be happier if he didn't have to worry that he might accidentally toddle off to Narnia. Fucking Tower.
In the CCTV Room, Marshall is multitasking. To be precise, he's wheeling his chair between several different projects and humming a merry little tune.... This is the attitude of a man who was just recently snogged at random and is very pleased by this. Of course, if someone walks in right now, he'll probably fall all over himself and spazz a lot and turn several shades of red, but right now... He is in his Happy Place.
