Will the sun take over in the morning?

When Francis wakes up, he immediately hates himself and goes back to bed. When he wakes up again, he's still miserable, but knows he has to take care of this. He remembers meeting up with Taylor and how well that went, but he honestly doesn't remember the journal entries until he opens his.

He swears to God he is never drinking again. EVER ( Read more... )

Nagi pulled the study group card again today, and yet again, it's just him and his ego. Unfortunately, he finished his trig already, and the German is waaaay too easy for him, since it's German 1 and Nagi lied about being fluent.

Nagi taps his pencil on the table as he debates the merits of staring off into space versus working ahead in the textbook. Going back to the house is not an option, because that means taking a snot-nosed little creeper to a park or something. Yuck.

The coffee isn't hitting his stomach well, but he feels like he can focus better. Francis is sure he should eat something, but really, he's not positive he could keep anything down right now. So for now, he works on just trying to settle his stomach. Move as little as possible and stare off into space. Which right now, means staring across at the other table towards a kid. Wanderer, he notes. Odd, to see him alone, and just a kid.

Yeah. He can stare at people if he wants.

Despite the staring off into space, Nagi does also scan the coffee shop for threats pretty regularly. When his gaze slides over Francis, he's cataloging pretty much every weapon that Francis has concealed or not so concealed on his person. And for that matter, he's taking an extra glance to see if there are wings under a jacket or anything, because most people who stare at him tend to be freaks of some flavor.

...Or high school students wondering why a young kid is in their classes. Or occasionally girls who then giggle and whisper to their friends. Nagi really doesn't get that last one, but he doesn't think this guy is the giggling type.

Francis is not the giggling type. He's not giggled in a very long time, really. Laughed. But not giggled. In fact, he probably hasn't ever giggled. He doesn't have that many weapons on him; the last thing he needs is temptation right now, but he's not stupid enough not to be carrying. He's got a knife on his belt, and a couple more under his jacket. He ditched his gun, leaving it in his hotel room. Prefers the knives anyway. Or his hands. He does have his wings out under his jacket; he's been really tired of keeping them in lately, and he doesn't see any harm in having them out under his jacket.

He doesn't stare at Nagi long, getting bored with the boy way too quickly. Besides, he's not really worth his time.
