Martha Jones did not exactly tell anyone what she got for Christmas. It is more fun to be very ninja like without anyone knowing. So she is sitting in the corner of the living room of the Casa Del OT3, the TARDIS key with the perception filter hanging from her neck where it belongs. Des has a building! Des has a building that is now furnished with office supplies! Des has more post-it notes than he can shake a stick at! Des is very happy, which is why when he walks into the house and the doors start playing 'Hip to Be Square' at him, he just does a little spin and practically dances into the living room.

"Anyone home?" He calls.

POUNCE, MARTHA, POUNCE.

It's really hard for Martha to not laugh when Des spins and dances into the living room like that. Honestly, these are very difficult circumstances to operate under.

She does manage complete silence, however, and steps away from the corner slowly until she gets close enough, and then she pounces on him.

"Never knew you were such a skilled dancer. Loved the little spin you did there," she says and grins.

Des yelps at the unexpected ninja!Martha and then bursts into a fit of laughter. "Never knew you were such a master of stealth. What's up with that? Did Santa turn you into a ninja for Christmas?"

Yes, that is a perfectly logical explanation for that.

Martha laughs, kissing him on the cheek.

"Something like that," she says, grinning and pulling the TARDIS key off of her neck to show him. "Perception filter. The very one I traveled the Earth with. It saved my life on more occasions than I can count. Could never have made it without this. I was just waiting for someone to walk through so I could do that to them."

She tilts her head looking up at him.

"And what'd he get you?"
