Harry Dresden is starting to get really worried. In a few short months, three of the only people he knows have gone missing without a trace. First Rose, then Shepard, and now even Sonja has vanished. She walks over to Harry and smiles, gently, but there's concern on her face, too.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry, couldn't help, but notice you looked..." Penny waves a hand vaguely in the hair. "I don't know. Not... happy?"

"Just a little breakdown, nothing major," he says, but a tremor in his voice gives it away. "People vanishing with no warning, that sort of thing. It's like everyone I touch gets cursed." He frowns. It takes a couple seconds before something clicks in her head, and she stops, turning around to frown at him.
"Are you okay?"

"Maybe it's the Rift. Can it do that? I mean, from what I've heard it's kind of a one-way sort of thing, but..."

"What I wouldn't give to deal with a nice straightforward zombie apocalypse." He rubs the back of his neck, aware that he probably looks like a nervous wreck. Hey, truth in advertising. "I had a pet zombie tyrannosaurus once," he says instead. "Best war horse I've ever been on. Not much says 'get the fuck out of my way' like a gigantic dinosaur running at you."
