Aiden's casually wandering past the Rift room when he hears the Doctor's triumphant yell and, being a curious man by nature, he decides to investigate.

He never makes it past the door, however. He spots the man there and is overcome with a sense of familiarty, and he soon figures out why. Except for his hair, he looks just like his former roommate and friend, Estan Kyrindor.

But he's definitely not Estan. Like all Atlunovans Estan's hair was shock white. This man's hair was brown.

Then he notices the purple goo, and blurts out, "What is that?"

"We-Tosh and I, she was with me-were attacked by a creature... I heard from another Wanderer that it was called a Witchdog. On the plus, I did discover what, precisely, the Rift did to me, and we managed to defeat it. Apparently it dislikes fire."
