A girl in the park

Juni has been somewhere, where that somewhere is she’s not saying (Or isn’t entirely sure) though she has picked up a tan, slightly lighter hair and against all odds a rather happy smile to go along with both of them.

This is all quite odd, but needless to say she is now back, not actually inside the hotel as of yet but still back in Chicago and

Cole's in the park. He had been cooped up in the hotel, and it was starting to make him feel absolutely sick. Life hasn't been fun as of late, but we don't need to get into that. Really.

But as he's walking, he sees a girl smiling madly. Which doesn't really make him happy, particularly after this past week.

"What are you smiling about?" he growls.

Oh Cole. A miserly old man before his time.

Juni looks surprised, then angry, then (with a rather great amount of effort, you can see it in her eyes) smiles again... Perhaps just slightly less madly then before.

"What is wrong with me... Somethings exploded or died again huh?" Not actually based on Juni's experience in this universe but it might soon be, Explosions and running and lots of screaming seem to happen here almost as much as her original universe... Well, semi original universe.

It's almost worrying.

"Doesn't it every week?" Cole replies, then sets his jaw and starts grinding his teeth. It's his new coping mechanism. His head has been killing him for the past week, to the point where it made him literally sick.

"Explosions," he says distantly, turning away from her to look at the expanse of the city. "A lot of them. And yeah, people died. Again." He pauses, lets out a pained breath and runs his fingers through his hair.

It bothers him, that this has become the norm. It bothers him a lot. The end of the world is not going according to plan, and it's not amusing in the least.

Juni smiles faintly and then schools her expression into one of mild shock... Really? She's kind of rubbish at the whole pity thing, she's been on the side of things that explode people and other things far too long before now to be like that...

It's faintly worrying.

So mild shock is all that You're going to get from her Cole, we're sorry about that... Still, at least she can act mild shock well "That's horrible... How many? What exploded?"

She's acted out some of this before, admittedly in a different world but... Well, she can still do it.
