It's when she wanders into the kitchen to grab something does she see him.
Rain is sure her heart stops right there.
She doesn't know what to say, what to do. But she feels so ill.
She mouths his name, but no words come out. Tears form and her fists tighten at her sides. She promised Natasha. She had to be...

He doesn't turn. The only person he wants to see now is Natasha.

No, he doesn't know it's his sister. If he did, he might be able to break past the cold tone in his voice, especially if he saw her (at least until he finds out what she has to say).

"Robin..." She's trying, she really is. But the words don't find her well at all. Her wings are still showing. She hadn't the energy to hide them.
She fights to find words, to think of anything she could possibly say. Because seeing him like this, watching him...
It breaks her heart.

Then she speaks.
His sister. There's a twinge of guilt for speaking so coldly to her and the bitter realization that there's no way he can't admit to what he is.
He turns out of her hold and takes one look at her. "Are you alright?"
But then the apology takes him by surprise. Robin presses his back up against the counter and folds his arms across his chest.
