She hasn't really quite noticed Parker's awake, but she's mumbling to herself all the same. "Won't do 'em no good. He can find 'em if he wants 'em, 'cause he's got me."
Yeah, she's not in her sanest of moods. Good luck with that, Parker.

And then he sees the woman in the bed and suddenly remembers the voices. And looks around more desperately. Oh dear. He hasn't... been committed, has he? His heart starts pounding in his chest as he turns back to the woman, who doesn't look very good.
"Excuse me," he says slowly. "Excuse me, Miss?"
Oh dear. Oh dear.

"They're gone. The lady with the blonde hair. Her people. She didn't want to leave 'cause she still don't know what to do with you." Well, that wasn't the only reason, but she did spend an agonizing amount of time standing over his bed before she left. "She was worried 'cause you're not well, but none of us are well. Maybe we're fine now, but we won't be, 'cause he's a cancer and he's comin' and... Oh!"
She drops her head down against her knees and starts to sob. Why? Why did Luther have to come? She knows he's hear- knows he's nearby. It's like she can feel him. And God only knows when he'' strike and who he'll strike when he does.
And she'll have to tell him everything.

He jerks himself out of his thoughts- they're dangerous things anyway, and if he wastes too much time trying to pick through them, the voices may appear again and... No.
"Who?" he asks the sobbing woman. It's not that he feels bad for the poor thing- he does, he really does- but he needs to find things out. He vaguely remembers being told about a... a rift of some kind. "Who left? And who's coming?"
Because yes, Parker. Get yourself dragged into the affairs of crazies. You're one yourself, after all.
