Distressed is not strong enough of a word for the way Rose is feeling currently. Jack is...gone. He's left the basement and it's more then Rose really knows how to handle. If she thinks about what she wants, what she needs really, it's for her Pack to be together, for her to be surrounded by people she loves

Cole has somehow managed to miss that Rose moved, and so when he realizes that he hasn't seen her in ages- since the plague, to be exact- he heads towards her old room.

Needless to say, he's confused when he gets there. Because lights off and doors opened? To him mean 'no one home and no one coming back'. So he decides to peek in anyway, just in case.

He taps on the door jokingly as he does so. "Knock knock?"

Rose, being the smart ass she is, replies with, "Who's there?"

She rolls herself so she's sitting, and leans up against the headboard.

Cole is more than a little startled by her reply- he hadn't seen her there. He can't help breaking out into a grin when he gets over his initial surprise.

"Hey, you," he says. "What are you doing here? I haven't seen you in forever."

He's missed her. A lot.

Rose smiles a little at Cole, though its a pale example of her normal bright self.

"Oh, just...thinkin' about some things, you know? Just needed to think a bit about things."

Yeah. Things like Mat, and Jack leaving. Things like the Doctor. Things like the Rift, and her family. Things like how it would have been better if she'd had to leave. Stupid things, really.
