Hmm. Sounds like she has the makings for a fine doctor (a surgeon) if she keeps up the way she has been.
I've walked into the OR and seen someone cut open down to their groin and thought their insides were the prettiest thing ever. It was seeing that that made me wish I thought about becoming a doctor.
I had this whole comment thing written out and then I submitted it only to find out I wasn't logged in. :p It's just one of those days.
But what I was trying to say before is that it sounds to me like she has the makings of being a fine doctor (a surgeon specifically) you might want to start dropping hints.
If I had known what I'd see in the OR before I had chosen my current career path things may have been a little different.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I was barbie-crazy when I was little, and pretty much exclusively loved the Princess Experience, lol. Apparently I turned out sort of okay. And even with all my princess loving, I still didn't fit in either :P Awkward childhood ---> more interesting adulthood, right? :)

Maybe you should start throwing hints.

Wait.... You were in med school?
That thought aside, your daughter is probably just fine. Trying to fit in, trying out new things, every kid does that.
Don't worry. While you may never get her to do pretty penmanship (hey, do doctors have good penmanship?) you can work with her on spelling.
We grew up without computers being so mainstream as they are now. That's probably why none of the kids listed books.
All in all it sounds like she's a normal enough kid. (What the heck is normal, anyway?)
