[Lavi knocks before he enters, as is his usual custom. He's not sure when he began the habit or why... he just does. As if acknowledging that this was Allen's space, and Allen wanted to share it with Lavi. Because it was really Allen's sanctuary. That's why Lavi had been so persistent about getting Yupunzel out of there as fast as possible]
[Lavi peeks his head in, not surprised at all that Allen is still awake and slips inside, closing the door behind him. He sees the pills on the nightstand, noting that is the brand new bottle he brought in earlier that evening. How many had Allen already taken?]
Whatcha reading?
[Said lightheartedly as he paces around the room a bit, looking like he's cleaning up. But the truth is he's hunting for every empty bottle that Allen has used within the past week]
[Allen lifts his head at the knock, and blinks when Lavi peeks his head in the door, before cracking a slight smile at him - as if to say "welcome home" for the second time that night. But he creases the corner of the page he's on, and flips the book shut, setting it on the nightstand beside the bottle of pills.]
Something about the first World War, I think... [He shrugs though, as if he isn't sure of this
( ... )
[The sound of plastic bottle after plastic bottle being picked up. One, two, three, four and then the rustle of fabric as Lavi goes to sit on the edge of the bed. Allen's side of the bed. So that he's close to him as can possibly be]
I guess it must not be that interesting.
[Grabbing a loose piece of paper from the floor, he bookmarks Allen's book and then takes it from him. Closing it with a smile, he sets it on the floor and then sets the empty pill bottles on the nightstand one, two, three, four. He makes note of the pills resting on the wood surface and picks up the last pill bottle, looking inside and giving it a shake to count the number inside]
Allen, that's 216 pills you've had in just a little more than a week.
Yeah... [But he's not elaborating. It feels weird to say that numbers tend to get jumbled while he's on his pills.
His lips press into a thin line as Lavi sets the bottles out, eyebrows knitting together as well in an odd little frown. He pulls a knee up to his chest, and and rests his chin on it.]
Closer to ten or eleven days... [Which is nearly two weeks, as far as he's concerned.]
