Of course Andrew knew why she was here, but okay, he would let her try for the small talk. He had been host to three extremely drunk college guys in his apartment a couple of nights ago, and Lucas had gotten completely trashed and spilled everything... including about everything he had drunk all over Andrew's kitchen floor. He figured Quinn had no idea how much Lucas wrote himself off, but once Andrew knew the logistics, he could understand why. In fact, according to a text from Sam that morning, Lucas was still feeling crap and in bed back at his dorm, and he wanted Andrew to drop in on him after work to make sure he was okay.
He held a file up wryly. "We're busy today. The only way I could get a timeslot for you was to list you as a patient." That was the truth, it was just convenient that she really did probably need some medical... advice, per se. "And he's good. More than I can say for most people around me, though. I need to start charging you lot," he joked.
Quinn nodded just a little, looking down at the file in his hand. "I... I guess it's just as well," she said. "I promise I don't have any life threatening things going on... Unless Kurt threatening my life counts. I'm really sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. It probably would've been easier to have this talk over coffee or something instead of at work for you."
A faint smile crossed her lips at that. "You really should, honey. We'd have you well set for an early retirement. You and Sam could get married and buy yourselves your own private island at this rate." But the seriousness of the situation set in quickly, and she looked over to him, her eyes giving her away as they so often did. Andrew was smart, and Quinn knew good and well that even if he hadn't known anything before this, which she seriously doubted, he would know something was definitely up now. "So... As awkward is this is to say to your fag's ex who's now engaged to your ex... We should probably get a room, huh?"
"We call them bays here, so you're safe," Andrew told her with a small wink and then gestured to the exit of the waiting room with her file. "Just between you and me, as long as Kurt's not threatening my life, I'm actually pretty relieved. I have to ask, though, why would he want to kill you? You're generally his equal second favourite in this world

With a sassy little smirk of her own, one she forced, but didn't truly feel, she nodded. "Well, I suppose that does make it better, then, huh?" she asked. "I... um... I'll explain when we're alone, okay?"
"God, was Lucas really bad?" Quinn asked, turning to the side to look Andrew in the face. She really hated this whole situation. Lucas was a good guy and probably the best boyfriend she'd ever had. He was good to her, he treated her with respect, and he made her laugh. She remained silent, though she nodded at the right places in the conversation, waiting until she'd followed Andrew into the bay to look up at him. "Lucas told you, didn't he?" she asked softly. It only made sense. Lucas had been drunk with Sam and come back to Sam and Andrew's place, apprently quite sloppily drunk. "He told you that I'm pregnant."
