Weekly Question #12 by yabaix :)

Aug 19, 2009 13:00

Hey guys! I'm a few days late. Sorry about that ^^" Onto the question, yes? This week's question isn't directly Arashi-related but...yeah. XD

What do you think about fanprojects?
(ex: gathering and sending letters, mass emailing, etc.)
Do you participate in them regularly? Or maybe not? Do you think they help in spreading awareness? A waste of time?

my really short answer (: )

I think that fanprojects are great as long as the participants don't expect too much out of them. If you're doing it to meet new people and to show your support for the group, it's fine, but if you're expecting more than that, like for the group members to show up or send a message to you for participating (like if you sent a card or something as part of a larger project), then you're in it for the wrong reasons ( ... )

I agree with what hyde_my_dreams said about fan projects as a form of encouragement for the artists. And learning how to give rather than receive. Personally I feel that fan projects are a good way to show your support to your idol, even a small thank you might mean a lot to them. I think what most people worry about when they participate in a project is whether it will be known to the artist, because if not, it would be a waste of time to them. Well, I think that it's hard to send a project to the artist, especially with JE, who's very strict about projects. Sometimes they even reject a booklet of messages. But we will never know unless we try right? So it's good to have hope when you participate in a project, but don't expect too much out of it. Just do it to spread the love.

*spreads love* careful! It's slippery 8D xD I agree that it's like a waste of our time if they don't get it, but as long as there's that hope that we can cling to, I think that hope is enough. don't you? :)

I think fanprojects are really a great way to get involved with other fans and be able to show how much the fans love Arashi. I have been in a few fanprojects and even helped with one myself and it really opened my eyes to how much love and dedication that others have for Arashi. I really didn't know that Arashi has touched so many lives so deeply and I think that its a great way to show Arashi this and help them see how much we love them and support them. I think support is the biggest reason why people should participate in projects, that way Arashi can see their fans and know that what they are doing isn't for nothing and that all that they have sacrificed was for something worth while.

I'm grateful for fanprojects. I'm a fan who has never been able to do a lot in terms of helping other fans, mainly because I have strict parents and I really need to get out more, but also because there have never been many people who I could be friends with who liked what I did. I've changed friends too many times. But with fanprojects, I can find people who like what I do, and expect nothing from me other than to enjoy the work that brought us all together. I don't think you have to participate in all of them to show you're a fan, or that you have to work really hard for recognition, but just enjoy them. I love fanprojects now becuase it's just a chance for us to show our favorite men in the world that we enjoy their work, that we follow because we want to, that we encourage each other because we see them do so well.

Did i go off on a tangent again? xD I think they're a good idea xD they show appreciation, which everyone enjoys participating in. Ijou desu!
