HOMEMADE BUTTERMILK PANCAKES

Still on our pure maple syrup kick, thanks to the 100% pure Canadian maple syrup Chris brought back from Vancouver, I decided to take on Mr Pancake House and make my OWN buttermilk pancakes :P

It's a shame buttermilk isn't as easily available! But ya, vinegar works, just that I already had lemon juice ;) There's sugar in my recipe though, not sure what you mean?

I think a lot of people will start to suggest that you can use milk+vinegar in place of buttermilk. Just Google (or is Google getting blocked?!) "buttermilk substitute" or something of the like and I guess there will be fine results. :) These look great! My mom recently bought Bisquick though, I was slightly annoyed. :(

Yeah lemon juice or vinegar works, just wahtever gives it that sour flavour. Buttermilk's the best though!

I remember making pancakes by just dumping eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla essence and flour...I'm a lazy cook :P
