GUILIN - THE IMPRESIONS LIGHT SHOW IN YANGSHUO

The Impressions Light Show in Yangshuo was the absolute highlight of our trip.

It wasn't the actual performance that was amazing (even though it was great), it was the location. The stage is actually the river itself! The audience sits stadium-style (seating abou 2,500 people - a full house every time) at the river mouth, looking at the river.

I saw that too~ It was pretty amazing, just the sheer... man power of China is overwhelming sometimes. It's like, while you COULD get that in Australia it would be just way too expensive for us to have as a permanent tourist attraction!

Unfortunately the night we went it was raining so it was a bit uncomfortable and wet and yucky. But the show was still great!

Only in China could theydo something like that! Or North Korea I guess..
Ohhh i was commenting during the show I wondered what i'd be like when it rains. I guess everyone sticks umbrellas up?

Glad you liked it! Hard to capture the gorgeousness of the surroundings and I couldn't do it properly.. but at least you guys can see it:)
