this icon. I didn’t have the psd saved so I tried to get it as close to the original as possible.

using: Photoshop CS2 (includes selective coloring)
Step 1: Duplicate your base twice and set both of them to screen. You may only need to do this once; it depends on your cap. You can always change it later if it comes out looking too bright/dark.
Step 2: Create a new selective coloring layer with the following settings:
REDS
-51, 22, 44, 20
YELLOW
26, 46, -35, 7
GREEN
-17, -5, -12, -3
CYAN
-6, 46, -17, -4
NEUTRALS
100, -9, -24, 39
BLACKS
All +100
