i started watching 'walking dead' this week. i forget sometimes how much i love to be scared. i'm three episodes into the first season (they just found norman reedus's brother's hand chilling on the roof...) and really excited to go on. excited about sarah wayne callies back on my tv, too... which reminds me that i never finished prison break

The Zach Wahls speech made me happy, but that article does make an important point. It reminds me of the whole issue of whether we should be trying to prove if being gay is genetic rather than a choice (as if it would really be that ghastly if somebody chose to be gay). There's this underlying implication with both issues that homosexuality is this unfortunate thing and should only be accepted when there is no possible alternative, and I'm like, fuck that.

In my opinion, which is based on not much since I'm bi with straight parents, I think kids raised by gay parents are more likely to be bi than kids raised by straight parents. In high school, I knew I was attracted to a few actresses (I wasn't very high on the Kinsey scale yet, I started going up several years later), but looking back, it started long before high school and I didn't even realise it was attraction. Maybe it's just a question of age, but I think kids raised in a more aware environment would also be more aware of possibilities.
