in keeping with the premise that this is mainly a writing journal, i will once again not be making a filter for posts about my big bang flail. if they get lengthy, i'll LJ-cut 'em, but otherwise you guys are mostly gonna have to deal. sorry. >.>;;;

anyway, affectingly inadvertently reminded me that i've been meaning to do a little overview post here, about ( Read more... )

Hey, I know this is sorta off topic but how did you manage to juggle so many projects last year? I'm trying to do the same this year but mine are spread out in like 3 different fandoms and I've been told I work best in complete immersion in the fandom I'm working on. Which makes me sad because ideas for another fandom are popping up all over the place but I keep having to put them on hold to try and get immersed in another fandom and it's making me sad.

So rambly comment is rambly, any advice?

hmm yeah, i can imagine that's tough. i would say it depends on your process for writing-- i tend to jump around, do whatever i feel like doing on a given day, but i keep weekly goals for myself on long projects-- not always for a word count, sometimes for what specific scenes i want to get done. so then on a day where i feel like writing trek, i sit down and write the scenes i have to do in my trek fic. and if i have a major block then i'll switch to something else, but basically i try to separate each project into manageable blocks or tasks, make a list, and cross things off as i get them done ( ... )

That's sound advice. I'll try and put that into practice.

The only issue is that I'm co-writing a bigbang with someone so that might lead to putting the other stuff on the backburner longer than I want to focus on the co-fic. But c'est la vie. I'll make it work somehow. :D
