A whole lotta shakin' goin' on

I've recently been reassigned to the Long Beach Superior Court.

Imagine  my surprise and joy to read in the Long Beach Press Telegram this morning the affirmative statement by the presiding judge of Los Angeles County that  "in a moderate earthquake the Long Beach Courthouse will come down."

Is that "come down" as in "fall down?" Or "come down" as in "move down here geographically"? Either way, that's an impressive thing.

Meanwhile, how the heck are you? Where've you been? How's the writing? What's up?

That's come down, as implode after a good shake.

Retrofitters have actually begun work, however. We'll see if they win the race.

I'm doin' okay, and thinking about beginning to write again. I haven't really been writing since mom died and I started a flanking action of survival at my job. I survived, but I am tired.

Too bad you're not a superhero. If you were, you would have been happy at the chance of rescuing people out of a crumbling building. ;P

All I could really say is "stand in the doorway (reinforced beams). Of course it doesn't do much good on the 5th or 6th floor during the main event.
